Objectives:

  1. To obtain information about Covid-19 from the right source
  2. To properly understand how Covid-19 is transmitted and to reduce unwanted worries and conflicts
  3. Learn to use COVID-19 prevention aids and prevent infection
  4. To cooperate with relevant departments and organizations and to regularly share information related to Covid-19

Objectives

  1. Villagers should be educated about COVID-19 and reduce the incidence of disease in the people in the IDP Camp.
  2. Partner organizations Collaborate with local civil society organizations (CBOs and CSOs) to share COVID-19-related information on a regular basis.
  3. Learn to use COVID-19 protection systematically to prevent infection.

COVID-19 and GBV Response Project (Phase -4)

Objectives

Project 8

Project Title

Support to Mapping and Assessment of Community Forests in Kyaukphyu District, Rakhine State

Introduction

CEDA is conducting an assessment of Mangrove Community forests in 17 villages in Kyaukpyu Township and Ramree Township. A total of 35 CFUGs’ mangrove community forests are being assessed. The assessment’s goals are to comprehend the situation before and after the establishment of the CF.

  1. To know the positive and negative effects of the village after the establishment of Community Forests.

Project 9

Project Title

Community Forest Assessment in Kyaukphyu District, Rakhine State

Introduction

Conduct a sketch mapping for all accessible mangrove CFs in Kyaukpyu District, especially to determine the boundaries and other relevant spatial information of all mangrove CFs. Conduct mapping tasks for the CF assessment following the CDE & Recoftc developed CF assessment methodology in at least 14 CFUGs in Kyaukpyu and Ramree Township.

Objectives

  1. Pilot methodology to obtain reliable CF boundaries.
  2. Gain insights into the effectiveness of CFs (esp. in Mangrove areas).
  3. Provide valuable lessons learned and recommendations for communities and CF practitioners.
  4. Provide insights and recommendations useful for policy, planning, and future CF development in Myanmar.
